Bowling For Columbine Extra Credit!!

The Pain… The video of the shooting victims were illustrated through smash cuts of victims crying was used to give the audience the heart wrenching feeling of how detrimental this shooting was in their lives. The Contradiction… The Song “Happiness is a Warm Gun” was in the background as the montage of people buying guns used as a contradiction to showcase how people are making a huge mistake in buying these guns while the music is saying otherwise. Amelie- Film Review Extra Credit!!

As, a film major I felt there is no better way to analyze a film and review it without pointing out all the layers that made it great! Love… Amelie trying to find love was depicted throughout the film as transportation was being used as a motif by extreme long shot and editing to show her traveling to meet her crush. WELCOME TO MEDIA NIGHTS WITH AL JAZEERA! When, I volunteered for Media Nights I didn’t know what I was in for as I learned so much. I did not know about the News channel Al Jazeera or what their message was before going to media nights, which was pretty cool to learn.
